NC inmate search : How to Conduct an Inmate Search ?

NC inmate search Whether you’re making homework for your forensics class or you’re trying to find out if a new acquaintance had a bad criminal record, there are many ways to conduct nc inmate search.  If you don’t want to go to the city jail to personally check on the records of police officers, there are other methods that you can make use of to have a background check of persons with criminal records.  There are two kinds of inmate search.

State and Federal NC Inmate Search :

So you know where to start, you need to determine if the inmate you’re looking for is bound under the state or federal law.  A state inmate search is used to search on people who have been imprisoned after being proven guilty of a state felony.  Federal inmate search is just the same with the first kind of search only that the persons charged of conviction were the ones who violated US federal laws.  Some people find difficulty in making inmate search because they often think that federal and state inmate search is the same.

You can do your search online.  However, you may need to spare sometime looking on various websites especially if you’re not sure whether the inmate you’re looking for committed a state or federal crime.  If you’re looking for an inmate imprisoned for state felony, the lists of inmates are not located in single website so you may need to visit each of the state’s website to find the name and records of such inmate.

Online North Carolina inmate search :

Inmates who have already been released from jail are still searchable over the internet particularly in the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.  The information that you will see is the name, age, address of the jail he/she has been imprisoned as well as the date of release.  As courtesy to these people, their current address will not be made available on the website as they’re no longer inmates
Rather private individuals.

For criminals who have had bad record and delicate cases, you will only be allowed to view their profile if the government has identified if you do have a probable cause or valid reason why you want to search on that particular inmate.  Furthermore, if you want to know the details of the crimes these people have committed, you may have to go to the jail and look on official records.  Criminal records are considered confidential so they are not made fully available in the internet.
